- Where: PV High School Stadium (1475 East Avenue, Chico)*

- Students will line up by 6:30 p.m. to begin Promotion.
- Students are asked to dress nicely for this event.
- 8th Grade student only reception/dance to follow, ends at 9:00 PM

Arrival
- We ask that students arrive between 6:00 and 6:15 pm and report to the check-in table outside the CFA.
- Students will write their name on a 3x5 card AS THEY WANT IT TO BE READ as they walk across the stage. If there is any chance of mispronunciation, we recommend students spell their names PHONETICALLY (e.g., “McKay” = “muh-KAY”).
- Families may start finding seating at 6:00 pm on either the Home or Visitors’ side of the stadium.
- Please do not wear high heels as they puncture and damage the playing field. You will NOT be allowed in the stadium wearing high heels.
- If you want to take pictures by the stage, we highly recommend doing so before the ceremony. CUSD facilities staff will be converting the stage immediately after our promotion ceremony in preparation for PV’s graduation the following day.
Ceremony
- Students will line up at 6:30 pm, as directed by staff.
- The ceremony will start promptly at 7:00 pm ("Processional").
- After the ceremony, students will follow the staff out of the stadium ("Recessional").
- Students may meet families to take pictures before checking in to the dance near the Admin Building.
- No family/non-8th-graders will be allowed in the dance area. They will exit the stadium following the routes indicated on the map. Bidwell staff will be on-hand to assist you.
Dance/Reception
- The dance/reception will be over by 9:00 pm.
- No in-and-out privileges at the dance. If students leave the dance, they will not be allowed to return.
