The Bidwell Junior High School Chess Team is open to all Bidwell students, regardless of prior chess-playing experience. As a part of the Sacramento Valley Scholastic Chess League, we provide the opportunity for Bidwell students to play chess competitively as a part of our school team. Students, however, must be a member of the SVSCL and the United States Chess Federation in order to compete in tournaments. The team practices on Tuesdays at lunch in Room 401. Please see Ms. Sutton in Room 101 for more information or just swing by Room 401 at lunch to start playing!
This fun club meets Tuesdays in Room 402 during both lunches. Join your friends for chess, board games or card (Magic/Pokemon) games.
Bidwell's MOVIE CLUB meets every Wednesday during early lunch in Room 308. Stop by to learn more!
This club brings together students who would like to learn more about cultures from around the world. The club also celebrates music, food, art, and language from other cultures. All students are welcome.
6th Grade Honors Club
This club is for 6th graders only and modeled after CJSF. Students are invited to attend a monthly lunchtime meeting. The group promotes a campus community service project for all students to engage in.
Come check out the newest Bidwell Jr. Club. THE WRITING CLUB. If you like to write poetry, stories, or interested in making a magazine or poetry book, come check it out. It will be on Fridays in Room 401.
