LEGO Robotics
The LEGO EV3 elective is designed to introduce students to the world of computer programming, coding, engineering, and robotics through the use of LEGO Mindstorms robotics equipment. This course starts with students constructing a basic robot and coding it to complete simple tasks such as navigating obstacle courses and moving objects. As the semester continues, students add sensors and additional motors to complete more difficult tasks. The semester culminates with the LEGO Factory Robot Challenge, where students must use all they have learned to complete a "real-life" LEGO Group Factory automation task.

STEM Medical Detectives
Students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they analyze genetic testing results to diagnose disease and study DNA evidence found at a "crime scene." They solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs, investigate how to measure and interpret vital signs, and learn how the systems of the human body work together to maintain health.

STEM 1
STEM 1 is an introduction to design and modeling. Students apply the design process to solve problems and understand the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. They work in teams to design a playground and furniture, capturing research and ideas in their engineering notebooks. Using Autodesk design software, students create a virtual image of their designs and produce a portfolio to showcase their innovative solutions.
